NON-GMO PROJECT VERIFIED
This is our way of ensuring with 100% accuracy that the feed you are getting is not genetically modified. The Non-GMO Project is an independent, third party organization that works to document and verify that products are indeed not genetically modified. They seek to be a resource for people who want to be more aware of what products contain GMO’s. Non-GMO Project Verification consists of mandated, regular testing of all our products. We make these test results readily available so that you can see for yourself that all our feeds are 100% non-genetically modified.
ANIMAL WELFARE APPROVED
Animal Welfare Approved is a food label for meat and dairy products coming from animals that were raised to the highest animal welfare and environmental standards. The AWA program supports independent family farmers and believes that how animals are raised, the quality o the products, and the impact of farming on the environment are all linked. Having the AWA logo on our products indicates that we are an approved feed for farms who are striving to be Animal Welfare Approved and it also shows that our feeds are sustainably sourced.
MYCOTOXIN TESTING
Mycotoxins are toxic chemicals produced by fungi that contaminate crops and can be fatal to both animals and humans. Mycotoxin contamination can cause production losses at all levels of production and can be invisible, scentless, and tasteless. Because mycotoxins can be undetectable by the human senses and can be damaging to production, we subject all our feds to mycotoxin testing for aflatoxin and deoxynivalenol.
HERBICIDE AND PESTICIDE TESTING
Herbicides and pesticides are toxic substances released into the environment with the intent to kill living things. These substances have been linked to various human health hazards and have detrimental effects on the environment. All of our products undergo testing for over 100 of the top herbicides and pesticides, including glyphosate.
NON-SOY / CUSTOM
Most of our feeds are also available in a non-soy ration. These feeds are all made with the same, Non-GMO Project Verified grains and products that our other feeds are, however we have had them professionally designed by out nutritionist to exclude soy for those who are sensitive to that particular ingredient.
